Gone

Slowly opening his dark brown eyes, he had been awaken by sounds of fire shots in the air, his eyes were tired of all his life disappointments. Helounged about getting out of his prison-like rusty iron-made bed covered with a tenuous coverlet. He sighed while he was watching the cracks and the dank spots on the walls with an eagle eye.

His wandering thoughts carried him back in memory to places where he met her the first time, to a road that cleaves though out of sight fields of Narcissus, a road leading to a place where silence fades by the sounds of heart beats and sea waves breaking on a gigantic rock, there where they used to have their childish shy words of passion and love, there where he held her hands, and where he gazed at her almond eyes which reflected the red twilight as burning pulses of emotions, there and then when their lips lost innocence for first time, and when their souls were crossed on the heat of kisses.
He used to watch her every face gesture, and a wisp of her brown hair that always preferred to escape the heat of her Hijab and hovered as a bunting fumbled to be kissed and blessed by the winds. Several moments passed while his thoughts were wandering through his memories, until another round of fire shots opened his eyes wide again on reality, she had gone, gone once and forever.
